CPR for HR??

Nspire was born out of a collaboration between HROS and its directors. HROS was established in June 2005, providing on- and off-site solutions to clients, focusing on the people practices of the business. Heidi Thompson was the founder and managing partner of HROS. HROS then transformed into Nspire Strategic and Management Solutions (Pty) LTD in May 2010.

Heidi Thompson has been in HR management for 21 years of which 15 years have been at a senior level.Experience has been gained in academic organisations, the professional sector (such as law firms and engineering companies), information technology businesses, the mining industry, chemical environment, government, municipalities and parastatals. Assistance has been rendered to organisations, varying in terms of size from small family-owned businesses to larger environments up to 1 200 employees.

Elize Janse van Rensburg, director of Nspire has been in HR Management for 18 years. Her experience spans from Nature Conservation to the Financial Services fields. Understanding the complexities of HR, she has an affinity for Industrial Relations and HR Information Systems (HRIS). The past three years she has been devoted to the implementation of HRIS in large corporate and municipal environments. Elize looks after the HR Auditing section, advises on all people processes involving IT and deals with e-learning.

Alexandra King is an experienced HR Professional with more than 12 years experience in HR Management and Senior Management in small, medium, large and international corporations. As a registered member of the SABPP and COMENSA, Alexandra has served both organisations on their Ethics Committees. She continues to contribute to the current SABPP Ethics Code and participated in the recent Ethics Publication. Alexandra has completed numerous short diploma and certificate courses, providing her with the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to be RPL'd by the SABPP at HR Practitioner Level. This RPL provided the grounding necessary for Alexandra to study for her Master of Business Administration, for which she has completed all study components. She is currently working on her dissertation on The Challenges of Managing Next Generation Workers, which seeks to investigate the influence of technology and the "era of now!!", dealing with workers coming into the workforce from 2014 to 2019. Alexandra's previous roles include Head of HR for MTV (Viacom) Networks Africa, HR Head – Taggart JHDA and the Divisional HRM – ACS a Division of Grinaker Lta

Janice Duff oversees the Cape Town office operating from the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Her focus is on overall business management and the set up of new businesses. Janice has a BCom from the University of the Witwatersrand, Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa and is a fellow of the Southern African Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators with over twenty years experience in business, eleven of them in senior financial or general management positions. Her background is in service related industries including banking and law.

The Recruitment Section is managed by Betty Mafura-Shoko. Betty is a qualified corporate secretary (ACIS) and she has a certificate in chartered management accountancy (CIMA). Betty is the founder and director of Cheap Calls cc, an internationally licensed telecommunications company (ICASA approved). She deal extensively with clients in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Africa.

Betty and her team have experience in the African, European and Middle East job markets. Extensive expertise in terms of recruitment and response handling is available in:

• Internal auditing of food safety management systems.

In addition to the directors, Nspire boasts a support team of experts who were selected for their specialised expertise. These specialist areas include: people assessments (psychometric), recruitment, payroll management, logistics and procurement management, information technology infrastructure and management, training and development, HR administration and leadership development and coaching.
